Rating: 2.75/5

Story:

Satya Marthand (Kalyan Ram) a journalist falls in love with Alia (Aditi Arya) daughter of a dreaded don Javed Bhai (Jagapathi Babu). Just when Alia and Javed approves Satya's love, the lead cheats them and moves away. Why Satya deceived Javed and how is Satya linked to his intention is what answers the rest of ISM.

Analysis:

ISM is a message oriented subject. It's a fight against the system, that too in a straight away attacking style, which Puri Jagannadh is well identified for. The film is handled well with taut dialogues. Especially the court scene in the pre climax leaves goosebumps. Scenes between Jagapathi Babu and Kalyan Ram have been handled pretty well.

But Jagapathi's character was not written well. His character ends in a quite silly way. The film appears interesting till the twist is revealed and later, gets quite predictable. Adding to it, the reason behind Kalyan Ram fighting against the system fails to create the required impact.

Performance:

Kalyan Ram's efforts did not go in vain. His stylish appearance with a toned body goes well with the lady audience too well. Even his acting skills, especially in the climax are going to take him to the next level. Jagapathi Babu is stylish and even gave a decent performance. Heroine Aditi Arya just gave a below average performance. She definitely needs to improve her acting skills, before signing next.

Anoop Rubens music is just okay, but his background score elevates scenes well. Editing and art work is slick. Production values are on the top notch. Director Puri Jagannadh is the first one who deserves all the appreciations. Be it his narration levels, the dialogues, the way he handled the emotions in the second half, everything goes for a huge thumbs up by Nandamuri fans.

Finally:

Except the lackluster climax and a few hurried up scenes, ISM is sure going to hit big time for handling the thought provoking line mixing with commercial elements well.
