Rating: 3.25/5

Story:

Dhruva (Ram Charan) who aims at finding big criminals, finds Siddharth Abhimanyu (Aravind Swamy), who is behind all the corporate crimes. How Dhruva managed to grab the powerful Abimanyu and what are the mind games, he played for it? Watch the film to know the answers to the questions above.

Analysis:

Though Dhruva is a remake of Thani Oruvan, director Surendar Reddy came out with a brilliant execution. The way he showcased the mind games engages the audience throughout. The way certain twists are revealed is pretty good. But the film still has some logical errors. The makers took the cinematic liberties in many scenes in the film.

The second half is interesting, but still appears lengthy. Many scenes could have trimmed out, to make the film appear better.

Performance:

Ram Charan’s ripped body is surely a delight to watch for the mega fans out there. He excelled in stunts and also dances, giving a fresh touch to the remake. Aravind Swamy in a negative role came out with a promising performance. Hema Chandra’s dubbing to his voice, elevated his character even more. Rakul Preet is decent with her acting skills.

Hip Hop Thamiza’s music and also background score is attractive. The production values are on the top notch. Rich visuals, expensive costumes can be felt on the screen. The screenplay is racy with some engaging moments. Surendar Reddy should be appreciated for his brilliant changes to the script. His identical stylish making is still felt even with a proven script.

Finally:

After the back to back debacles, Dhruva is definitely a good comeback for Ram Charan. The film would go well with all sections of the audience and so can be on your pick list this week.
