Rating: 3/5

Story:

Arjun (Nikhil) falls in love with Nithya (Hebah Patel), who is possessed and someone inside her body is making her do all these things. He later meets another person called Amala (Nanditha Swetha), whom he finds was the one behind all this. Why is Amala behind Arjun and what are the consequences Arjun had to face with her is the crux of Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada.

Analysis:

Not only the story but also its execution is handled well on the screen. Especially the interval bang is very gripping and ends with a good twist. In the second half, comedy scenes are executed well and it acts as a relief in a tension mood.

The entry of a special heroine and her love track in the second half is another highlight of the film. The twists are handled extremely well. However, there are certain scenes which  completely dips the film down and slows its tempo.

Performance:

Nikhil in an innocent role, suits the character perfectly. He should be appreciated for accepting a film, where heroines have a bigger role to play. Nanditha Swetha comes up with some quality performance. Especially her body language elevates the film well. Hebah Patel is decent in her role. Satya and Vennela Kishore evokes good laughs.

Shekar Chandra’s music was just an average, but his background score elevates the proceedings. Production values are superb. Many scenes could have been trimmed easily, to make the film appear better. Director Anand chose an interesting story line and even managed to put up some good twists and turns.

Finally:

Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada is a different horror comedy. If some boring moments are ignored in the initial part of the first half, it makes up for a decent watch.
