Rating: 2.75/5

Story:

Chinna(Chaitanya) falls in love with Leela(Manjima Mohan) and takes her for a long road trip. But the horrible accident, followed by a gang attack, completely changes the situations at once. How is that gang linked to the couple and how did Chinna and Leela come out of the chaos? Answers to these questions can be found in the rest of Saahasam Swasaga Saagipo movie.

Analysis:

On the lines of Ye Maaya Chesave, Gautham Menon again tried to show Naga Chaitanya as a lover boy in the first half, with some watchable moments. But in the second half, the story runs on a serious note. Especially the pre-climax thrills many. But, the climax is a huge disappointment. The way things get wrapped up appear quite filmy. Adding to it, the songs are misplaced and just act as a the speed breakers to the flow of the story.

Performance:

Chaithu is good as a lover boy in the first half. But due to the serious subject, he gets hardly any chance to showcase his romance. Manjima Mohan makes a decent debut and suits her role well.

Needless to say, A R Rahman’s music took the film to the next level. Both songs and background score elevates the film well. Production values are good and credit should go to the cameraman for showcasing the simple proceedings in an interesting way. Editing and dialogues are neglected and that can be felt on the screen.

Director Gautham Menon tried many new things on the screen. But unfortunately only few work well, others appear boring. If he had handled the climax well, the output would have been better.

Finally:

If you expect Gautham’s identical romance, come out of the theatre after interval. If you are interested in watching some thrilling episodes, go and watch the film after interval.
