Story:

Alizeh (Anushka Sharma) has a deadly past with her ex boyfriend Ali (Fawad Khan) breaking her heart. Ayan (Ranbir Kapoor) fails in handling any relation. These both hook up at a bar in London and get connected instantly. Ayan who fell for Alizeh tries to propose his love and meanwhile, Ali gets back to Alizeh’s life and marries her.

Ayan who could not take this, finds his solace in Sabah (Aishwarya Rai). However, the duo’s relation doesn’t go a long way, due to Ayan’s love for Alizeh. Did Ayan patch up with Alizeh? Watch Ae Dil Hai Mushkil to know the answer.

Analysis:

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil deals with the complexities and blurred lines between love and friendship. It explains about how friendship ranks over love. Karan Johar who already proved his expertise in dealing relationships, has come up with yet another promising concept. He handled the film throughout well only to mess up in the climax with a huge cliche.

Performance:

Ranbir Kapoor has nailed his performance as a lover boy. Even the way she was styled is impressive enough to kill all the female hearts out there. Anushka Sharma is a delight to watch. Both as a bubbly, fun loving girl and in the scenes where she has to break down in pain, she is impressive.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is truly like anyone’s dream. She still carries her grace blending it with her identical sexiness. Lisa Haydon is a spot on, Fawad Khan is hot and Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo is impressive as he utters some important dialogue.

Pritam’s music is impressive and even all the songs are shot well. Production values are on the top notch. It is tough to handle a romantic film for 2 hours 38 minutes. A few of the scenes could have been trimmed easily.

Finally:

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is a treat to watch out for, and get dipped into the circle of love and friendship.
