Rating: 1.75/5

Story:

In order to rescue their boss Aslam (Rahul Dev), a group of terrorists led by Anwar (Ravikishan), plant a bomb on a flyover, with the idea of creating havoc in traffic and blackmailing the government.

Krishna (Sundeep Kishan), a cool guy is in pursuit of his Childhood girlfriend 'Mango' (Nitya Menon). Along with several thousands, even these both get stuck in the traffic. While the terrorists are in the process of terrorists executing the plan, Krishna enters the game. How did the story take a different turn from there, forms the rest of Okka Ammyi Thappa.

Analysis:

As Nagarjuna Gaganam was successful, in the similar lines, Brahmanandam’s son Gautham signed a film called Basanthi, which carries similar theme. Now forming the queue of that genre, Okka Ammayi Thappa was made, which fails in making any impact.

To lighten the tense situation around, the screenplay was made with light humor, which adds nothing to the film. Nitya Menon has nothing much to do with the film, while the audience who bought the ticket would majority be, for this short lady. The pre climax, gives the edge of the seat experience and again the climax drops. Okka Ammayi Thappa is tough to go with the C class and ‘A’ class will be interested if they did not watch earlier two films of the same genre.

Performance:

Sundeep Kishan who came to form with Tiger, delivers a watchable performance. But unfortunately that goes in vain with the poor narration of the maker. As said before, Nitya Menon has nothing much to do with Okka Ammayi Thappa. Rahul Dev as boss hardly appears and Ravi Kishan as main antagonist is noisy. None of the comedy actors Saptagiri, Prudhvi ,Tagubothu Ramesh got a scope to expose their skills in the film. Rest of the cast has done justice to their roles.

Songs are ok and don’t ask me about the background score. There are several scenes that needs trimming and dialogues are ok. Cinematography is the major highlight of the film. Director Rajasimha Tadinada, could not bring out engaging screenplay, except in parts.

Finally

Are you willing to take revenge on someone? Offer them Okka Ammayi Thappa tickets.
