Rating: 2/5

Story:

Ganga (Jacqueline Fernandez), Jamuna (Lisa Haydon) and Saraswati (Nargis Fakhri), three cute daughters of Batuk Patel (Boman Irani), date Sandy (Akshay Kumar), Teddy (Riteish Deshmukh) and Bunty (Abhishek Bachchan).

Batuk refuses his daughters to get married to those trios and so fakes a theory that, ‘he will die if’, to stop them. It is then the guys pretend to be handicapped and the actual roller coaster ride starts then. Did the three won their love? This question answers the Housefull 3 rest.

Analysis:

The script of Housefull 3 appears obsolete, and adding to it, most of the jokes have already become done to death. The humor, the male leads try to create as handicapped, appears age old. There is absolutely no uniqueness, be it in the script, screenplay, humor and any sort of the film. However, a few one liners in the parts, makes you laugh, so that you do not have to repent, for spending so much of amount on the tickets.

Performance:

Akshay Kumarm, known for his comic timing does his job well with his split personality act, but after a point goes overboard and there is a thin line between acting and loud acting then! Riteish Deshmukh surely doesn’t seem to get enough of his repetitive roles when it comes to comedy. He is entertaining but it is more like a Deja Vu. Abhishek Bachchan’s character is a pure dumb and does not show any effect on the film.

The ladies, Jacqueline Fernandez, Lisa Haydon and Nargis Fakhri’s only job is to add glamor to the screen and nothing else. It is Boman Irani’s character that attracts big time in Housefull 3, just like the earlier two versions. Rest other characters are ok.

When the third film from a popular franchise is coming, the expectations would generally be above the earlier two films. But this time, makers Sajid-Farhad falls short of  such expectations. Music ranks above the background score. Editing has flaws in parts and the production values are decent.

Finally:

Only Akshay fans can spare some time in the theatre. Rest others, would find peace with the jokes, friends share on the Whatsapp, rather than watching film for the age old humor.
