Rating: 1.5/5

Story:

Taran (Neha Sharma) and Amar (Aashim Gulati) are in relationship. Amar meets with an accident and even the rescue team fail to find his body and assumes him to be dead.

Taran’s family tries to cheer her up and her father in law (Kanwal Jeet) introduces her to Shekhar (Aditya Seal) and the two hit it off well. While the duo were in love with one another, Amar miraculously returns after being treated for come for 8 months.

Taran now falls into the deep dilemma, to choose one among Amar and Shekhar. If you cannot guess the rest, watch Tum Bin 2 in your nearest theater.

Analysis:

Tum Bin 2 is mostly like the first part, except for Amar’s return. Unfortunately, the film lacks the emotional connect of the prequel. However, the scenes where family enjoying together are shot well.

Light hearted humor in the entire sequence where Gurpreet falls for a Pakistani is fun. Tum Bin 2, though, is about a triangle love, there is nothing much to see about love. The concept appears confusing and revolves around rebound and infatuation.

Performance:

Neha Sharma completely fails in revealing the pain that is supposed to be present according to the script. Adding to it, her dialogue delivery has no improvement. Same with the two male leads Aditya Seal and Aashim Gulati, who are done to death with their utter poor acting skills. Instead, the side characters of Manpreet and Gurpreet are better than the leads.

The feel good background score and romantic songs spoil the mood of the audience, as the scenes in the film are not as lovable or romantic as the songs. Production values are on the top notch and that richness can be felt on the screen.

The first part actually never needed a sequel, as all the characters are handled pretty well and the story has a neat ending. But Anubhav Sinha failed in noting this point and attempted the second part only to spoil the reputation of the first.

Finally:

You already have a better ‘bin’ at the corner of your room and another bin on the desktop of your computer.
