Rating: 2.75/5

Story:

ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham) has this time got to do some bigger job unlike the earlier one. After a series of killings of RAW agents become rampant in China, an investigation team is set up to nab the traitor who has been exposing the undercover agents.

Yash, even loses his best friend in one such killing. RAW sends Yash and KK (Sonakshi Sinha) on the mission to capture the traitor and protect their agents. They find out that, Shiv Sharma (Tahir Raj Bhasin) is their target. Will the couple succeed in their mission and save the lives of other RAW agents, is what the rest of the film shows.

Analysis:

Force 2 script is straight on the face, without confusing the audience with some gaming screenplay. The basic plot is established quickly in the first half. But Sonakshi’s character was not established properly and it would be unconvincing. The chase sequences in the first half are shot extremely well. But, the entire film is the criminal’s motives. The second half suddenly turns into a forced emotional saga.

Performance:

John Abraham is back with yet another promising performance in Force 2. The actor sticks to his usual demeanor of being brash and mono toned in expressions all through the film. Sonakshi Sinha has nothing much to do in the film. As said before, her character was designed such loosely. Tahir Raj Bhasin is decent with his identical acting.

Force 2 has only one song ‘O Jaaniya’ and luckily that is a short one. Director Abhinay Deo deals cleverly with a film like Force 2. He tried to balance the screenplay with several mixed emotions, though the crux is only to fall back of the criminals and thus played an intelligent game.

Finally:

Not as good as the prequel, but still Force 2 can be considered once.
