Rating: 3.5/5

Story:

Prashanth (Vijay) aims to become chef. Seeing his reckless attitude, his father, with the intention of keeping him on the right track decides to get married to Chitra (Ritu Varma), a career addicted girl.

But Chitra says that she is not interested in marrying, but is willing to start food business. Disappointed over this, Prashanth while moving on with his life, finds another girl whom he decides to marry.

But this time, the girl’s father asks him to start up his own business first. It was then, Prashanth joins hands with Chitra for a food truck business. Not to the surprise of many, the duo gets attracted to one another. The way they came out of their individual problems and got united would be attractive to watch on the big screen.

Analysis:

Freshness in the script and the way it is dealt is what making one look out for Pelli Choopulu. All the key characters in the film appear contemporary and are dealt well. The first half of Pelli Choopulu is brilliantly executed and has some very breezy moments. The love story between the couple and the way all the confrontational scenes have been designed with a lot of freshness is what clicks with this film. Chemistry between the lead couple is quite impressive.

The pace of the film dips a bit in the second half and narration would appear slow. Few scenes are repetitive in the second half, which may not go well with the audience. However, the overall presentation of the film is utmost impressive.

Performance:

Vijay Devarakonda as Prashanth is the actor who has all the eligibilities to make it big in the future. For his acting skills in a confused character would anyone give thumbs up.  Ritu Varma as Chitra is impressive. Her role brings a spring to the proceedings.

Songs are just ok but the feel-good back ground score given by Vivek Sagar is outstanding. Camera work and art direction are on the top notch. The production values are decent and narration skills are what goes well with the audience, big time. Director Tarun Bhaskar has come out with outstanding direction skills, which suits to the trend and he might become the youth’s favorite in no time.

Finally:

A perfect pick for this weekend. Go book your tickets to watch Pelli Choopulu. You may recollect some candid moments you experienced in your life.
