Wine shops can restrict minors this way!

Alcohol should not be sold to the minors, the rules say, but who is going to monitor every shop in the country?

There will be a small board at every wine shop saying that, the wine will not be sold to those below 21 years. It is an open fact that, neither the shop owner, nor the customers are concerned about that board.

Are the wine shops asking any age proof certificates? Not asking because the government itself has not introduced any such rule. Then how can the wine shops identify the minors? If even identified, are they skipping to sell wine to the minors? Why will they forgo the customers and who is that one who is concerned of the health of the customers and refusing to sell?

These are the several questions which are in fact acting as the loopholes to both the wine shop owners and to their customers. Why did the government neglect to think of these easily appearing questions?

If at all it has thought of those, probably, several innocent kids who have lost life, due to the minor drunkards’ accidents, would have been alive today. Isn’t it? Along with the kid Ramya’s incident in Panjagutta or 5 minors road accident in Banjara hills in the recent times, there are several accidents that are taking place due to the minors driving the vehicles, after consuming the alcohol.

So hope the government at least becomes active now and makes the rules stricter, by monitoring every wine shop in the city with a police and make sure, the shop seeks the age proof and only then sells the wine. Recognizing their efforts, it would be better if the government appreciates with the awards, which acts as a boost for the other wine shops to follow the same.

However, loopholes following this idea is inevitable, but wouldn’t it be at least save a single life and isn’t that single life valuable?
