Mallanna Sagar is one major project, Telangana government has took and is making the news all the way. All the opposition parties have joined their hands together to attack the TRS government.

Right from the formation of the Telangana state, there are rarely any criticisms, KCR’s government faced and in fact, that might be the reason for the victory in all the elections held after the 2014 general elections. Adding to it, all the opposition parties and even the TDP, touted to be the strong opposition, could not make any influence in the elections held.

This made the analysts speculate that the TRS would be unstoppable for the near future. But after the government has planned to take the lands from the farmers for the Mallanna Sagar project, a few of the famers were reluctant to give their lands and it is then, the opposition parties took it as a chance to revolt against the Telangana government.

However, there are few farmers, who came forward to give their lands to the government, but it seems, due to the severe negativity injected by the opposition parties, few other farmers are revolting against the government. This is now disturbing the irrigation minister Harish Rao, who is conducting the meetings to educate the farmers about the significance of the project and at the same time, criticizing opposition parties.

Harish Rao severely criticized the TDP government in Andhra Pradesh, saying that, pooling lakhs of acres of land for the capital city is not necessary and alleged that land is being used for the illegal purposes.

If at all the Mallanna sagar project moves forward fairly and gets completed, and benefits the people around, nothing more would be a greater jolt to the opposition parties and that would further worsen the position of the oppositions in the state. Adding to it, Telangana government would be registered strongly in the people’s hearts if the project comes out well, which inturn is again a major jolt to the opposition parties.

On the flip side, if the project fails to impress, then what all the oppositions are saying now, would be considered as true by the public and that would bring back the oppositions significance in Telangana state, which has not yet witnessed any other party’s presence, other than TRS since 2014 elections. This would be a severe jolt to the Telangana government.

So, who would be facing the jolts, oppositions or TRS? Only, Mallanna Sagar has to say about it, in the coming days.
