Story:

Kaashmora (Karthi), a small time criminal, pretends to possess some super powers of talking to the ghosts and cheats a politician, running away with his money.

But the twist comes when he gets stuck in a bungalow, which has a huge past of some real ghosts, that lived centuries ago. How is Kaashmora connected to the bungalow and where do Nayanatara and Sri Divya feature in the story? Answers to these questions can be found in the rest of Kaashmora.

Analysis:

Firstly the concept of linking the ancient fantasy element to the present, deserves a huge appreciation. Horror comedy, fantasy and suspense have been interlaced perfectly. VFX works are extremely impressive.

The scenes between Nayanatara and Karthi are shot well. But the lengthy run time is the major drawback of the film. Be the first half or second half, the story takes too long to unfold. Several scenes could have been edited out to make the film taste better.

Performance:

Karthi is the major highlight of Kaashmora and he has given extraordinary  performance in both the roles- Kashmora and Raj Naik. Nayanatara has a cameo and does not have much to show her acting skills.

Both songs and background score couldn’t do much favor to the film. Art direction is good and so are the production values. Director Gokul handled the film well, molding it with good doses of comedy. If the flashback episode was handled well, the result would have been better.

Finally:

If you can ignore the excessive length and few glitches, Kaashmora can be a good time pass entertainer for this Diwali.
