Rating: 1/5

Story:

On a solar eclipse day, no god’s power would work, except a Sakti Kavacham which can save the world that day. Sivaiah (Sai Kumar)’s family takes care of this Sakti Kavacham from several decades, but his daughter Nagamma (Ramya) loses it in a fight with some evil powers.

Nagamma in her next birth as Manasa (Ramya), tries to get back it. Will she succeed in her attempt and what are the consequences she faced in this journey, forms Nagabharanam’s rest.

Analysis:

Sai Kumar’s cameo is shot well. The special effects used in his fight sequence are attractive. Especially, the way Kannada Super Star Vishnu Vardhan was recreated through the visual effects is decent. The film’s script appears close to Kodi Rama Krishna’s earlier movies like Devi, Ammoru and Arundhati.

Adding to it, the narration is another drawback. Not even a single scene impresses in the first half. Even in the second half, there are several scenes, which appear misleading the main content. Unnecessary graphics, loud background score leave you with a headache right away.

Performance:

Ramya as the lead does a decent job. Especially in the second half, she came out well in a serious role. Sai Kumar impresses in his cameo.

The screenplay is irritating as most of the scenes goes for a toss. The background score is loud, making the things messy and even the songs are average. Visual effects are the one thing that deserves appreciation in Nagabharanam. Production values are on the top notch, as the richness can be felt. Director Kodi Ramakrishna highlighted the graphics and kept the story and narration on the sidetrack.

Finally:

More of graphics and less of logics. If you are ready for it, Nagabharanam is available at your nearest theaters.
