Rating: 3.25/5

Story:

Vikram (Naga Chaitanya) falls in love with three different girls- (Anupama Parameswaran) Sithara (Shruthi Hassan) and Sindhu (Madonna), in three different stages of his life, but he fails in winning the love at every stage. How he won his love, and with which girl he settles down is the crux of Premam.

Analysis:

The one big plus point of the Telugu version of Premam is, several changes are made in the script with that of Malayalam Premam and is narrated adding enough entertainment. But the audience who compares the film with Malayalam version would end up disappointing with Telugu, as several important scenes in Malayalam are put off track in Telugu.

Adding to it, the slow narration is another minus point. But still living up to the expectations, Premam goes well with the youth for the romantic flavor that is carried on throughout.

Performance:

Naga Chaitanya completely nailed his performance. He will be immensely liked by youth, especially the female fans. His variations in three different looks and acting levels are advanced.

Shruti Haasan is not that bad as she was trolled before release. She ends up doing a decent job in the film. Both Anupama Parameswaran and Madonna Sabastian perform well in their roles. Srinivas Reddy, Brahmaji, Praveen and others evoke some huge laughs throughout the film.

Music is one of the major highlights of Premam. All the songs sound good and are even shot well. The camera work is brilliant, as three different time zones are showcased convincing. Production values are on the top notch. The screenplay is engaging, but bit slow in the parts. Dialogues need a sure mention.

Director Chandoo Mondeti deserves a loud appreciation. The way he adopted Premam story to Telugu was brilliant. His narration made the film quite entertaining throughout.

Finally:

No big complaints. Premam is the perfect pick for the weekend. Go and get yourself dipped into romance.
