Rating: 3/5

Story:

Anand (NTR), a nature lover accidentally gets into a scuffle with Satyam (Mohan Lal), who likes Anand's approach and requests him to join in Janatha Garage, through which Satyam is saving poor. What made Satyam choose Anand for this job and will Anand join him? Answers for these can be found in Janatha Garage's rest.

Analysis:

Though Koratala Siva picked up a right story, he failed in writing an engaging screenplay, as the story should balance the star image of Jr NTR and Mohanlal.  There is no significance for heroines at any part of the film. When Samantha, Nityamenen appears on the screens, it literally means, the song is on its way. Adding to it, there is no comedy in the film. Corruption in the society and saving the environment are the two good concepts Koratala dealt and handled first half well.

But the second half goes completely flat and the pace is slow. The climax is very outdated and has been stretched to no extent. Several characters appear on the screen, and move out with no clarity. He finally ends the film on a simple note.

Performance:

Jr NTR has put his star image on the side track and managed to do justice for the role he was opted. Mohan Lal's character is designed supremely well and the legendary actor's acting is on the next level.

Samantha and Nityamenen has absolutely no scope for acting and Kajal is sizzling with Pakka Local. Sai Kumar, Rajiv Kanakala, Ajay have done justice to their roles.

Along with songs, Devi Sri Prasad's background score, especially in the second half is a huge plus for the film. It actually elevates the proceedings well. Camera work needs to be appreciated as the light used, showcased Mumbai and Hyderabad well. Production values are great. Editing spoiled the film, as there is scope for at least 15 minutes of trimming.

Coming to director Koratala Siva, he wrote a wonderful script and also the dialogues. But he took too much time to establish the story as the film gets the write line only in the second half.

Finally:

As the tagline of the Janatha Garage says, “Ichata anni repair lu cheyabadunu”, even the movie requires few repairs.
