Rating: 2/5

Story:

Rao Gopal Rao(Dulquer Salman), a writer, falls in love with Savitri(Nithya Menen) and the moment he decides to express his love, he finds out that, she is his schoolmate, whom he hated all his life. How Gopal changed his mind and wins Savithri, who is engaged on the other side, is what forms 100 days of love’s rest.

Analysis:

First half of 100 days of love completely goes for a toss. The scenes are dragged so much that you feel like watching everything in the theatre, other than the screen. The entire first half is dedicated to the scenes searching the heroine and nothing else.

The story is age old and even the screenplay has nothing magical to offer. Most of the scenes appear predictable and Dulquer’s double role reveals the stupidity side in the director. The climax is bit ok compared to the entire film.

Performance:

The only plus point in the film is the lead pair- Dulquer Salman and Nitya Menen. This pair is what that drags one to the theatre and make them sit on the chairs, even though the scenes are quite uninteresting. Dulquer is adorable and so the Nitya. Their romantic chemistry in the second half once again goes well with the youth audiences in the theatre. Rest other characters are just ok.

Both songs and background score are utterly irritating. But the dubbing is top class and even the Telugu dialogues are written well. Production values are just ok and editing has many flaws. The entire first half could have been edited easily, trimming it with the required scenes and deleting other scenes. Director Januse Mohammad just tried to use the stardom of the lead pair and nothing much he has done for the film.

Finally:

100 days of love is over 120 minutes of irritation.
