KCR to put an end to MIM!
If the reports are to be believed, Telangana Chief Minister KCR is all set to launch an Urdu daily soon, to appease Muslims in Hyderabad.
KCR is already running a Telugu newspaper called Namaste Telangana, English paper ‘Telangana Today’ and a Telugu news channel ‘T News’. But keeping in mind the huge population of Muslims in Hyderabad, he has registered an Urdu daily in the name of “Aadab Hyderabad.”
Though TRS is enjoying the supremacy, eliminating the experienced political parties like TDP, Congress and YSRCP from Telangana, the leading party is unable to move against MIM, and is several miles away from gaining the popularity in the old city.
So, the dynamic CM is now concentrating on old city too, and for it, he is considering “Aadab Hyderabad” as the best beginning. Regarding this, KCR recently met a senior journalist from Ithemaad Urdu daily, promoted by the Owaisi brothers. This is now reportedly worrying MIM President Owaisi.
It is to be noted that, right after the formation of Telangana state, KCR made several good gestures towards Muslims, participating in their festivities. The state government also organized a lavish Iftar party in Nizam college grounds recently and also distributed clothes to thousands of Muslims across the state. Around 3 lakh Muslims were also distributed the land. KCR also promised to assure good support to Muslims, even in the future years.
So if not with MIM, the TS CM always had a good rapport with the Muslims across the state. So the government’s Urdu daily would impact the Muslims across the state and there are more chances for MIM, to step down in the future, the analysts opine.
