Bengaluru’s molestation issue took to the storm across the country. While the city police are busy in addressing the allegations, the defensive men on the other hand were getting #NotAllMen to trend on the social media.

The hashtag blames women for going to a crowded spot and adding to it, a few of the journalists were raising doubts over whether any molestation had really happened. It’s then, a Bengaluru citizen in Kammanahalli, copied CCTV footage from his street and sent it to one of the popular news media.

The video shows two men on a two-wheeler, assaulting and molesting a woman on an empty road. One of them gets off the bike, runs to the girl who is walking alone, molests her, assaults her, drags her to the bike, after which both of them try to molest her again, and when she continues fighting them, they just throw her off and speed away on the bike.

The video clearly shows how worse the situation of the women in the country. A man is able to get down from a bike and molest a woman, in a public place with so much of freedom. This happened because he took it for granted that, no one could dare to act in any manner.

Not only from the police, even an alertness from the common public around, could protect a woman from facing the nightmares like this. If not directly attacking the molesters, they could have at least informed the police. When the common public, who are able to see the assault, but just stayed away, looking at it treating it as a fun, does not have any right to blame the police.
