Why Chidambaram met Rajinikanth?
After the demise of ex-Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Jayalalitha, the state politics had been taking new turns every day. There is no clarity on who would sit on the throne. While the names of Panneerselvam, Sasikala are anyway, being heard big, even Kollywood star hero Ajith’s name was heard earlier.
But Rajinikanth, who most of the times, stayed away from the politics and never made any gesture, seems is now positive about politics.
Congress senior leader and ex-minister Chidambaram met Rajinikanth at his residence and discussed on several issues, for a quality time. But none of the biggies revealed about the reason behind their meeting.
During the reign of Jayalalithaa, there was no other leader, who was as powerful as her. Even many of the biggies couldn’t go against her, keeping in mind her political tactics. But, after her demise, several biggies are keen to rule Tamil Nadu and one cannot deny if I say that even Rajinikanth is not exceptional.
He even gave a few hints about his political entry, after Jayalalithaa’s demise, actively participating in her final rights programme and also visiting hospital, while she was undergoing the treatment.
So if the latest meeting with Chidambaram is anything related to his political entry, it should be seen, how far the super star would succeed in this new field.
