Bikes in agriculture!
While the country is able to accept the reforms on several issues, even the key occupation Agriculture is witnessing some important reforms.
In the present scenario, cutting down cost of agriculture is one important thing to concern about, as farmers are not in a position to employ the workers for ploughing the agricultural fields. They are even unable to use oxen as each ox is costing around Rs. 1 lakh and the maintenance cost of those oxen would be Rs. 300 per day. Adding to it, they cannot buy any costly machinery.
So the farmers in Chitradurga district, Karnataka, found the alternate ways to plough the fields with the perfect cost management.
Attaching the plow to the two wheeler bikes, the farmers are able to plough the entire field with the least cost and also this is identified to be the quickest method to plough the field. Chitradurga farmers are able to plough 5 acres of field in a day with the bikes. This is making the farmers save around Rs. 2000 per day.
After the demonetization, the cash crunch has turned out to be one big issue and this had further worsened the condition of the farmers, who can never think about the cashless transactions. At this point of time, an innovative idea like this, surely benefits the farmers in the country.
Who knows, the bike companies would now concentrate on making some special bikes that can be used only in the agriculture and that would further benefit the farmers.
