Dilsukhnagar twin bomb blasts case came to the final hearing today and all the 5 convicts were sentenced to death.

Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal, Pakistani national Zia-ur-Rahman alias Waqas, Asadullah Akhtar alias Haddi, Tahaseen Akhtar alias Monu and Aijaz Sheikh are the five convicts who have been sentenced to death by NIA court today.

Riyaz Bhatkal, founder of Indian Mujahiddeen (IM), who was also the part of the crime, is currently absconding. The officials are making necessary efforts to find him and bring back to India.

Around 22 people were killed in the twin bomb blasts in Dilsukhnagar. Since, then, upon conducting several investigations, the officials were successful in finding the actual culprits and with not much delay, all five of them were sentenced to death.

Showing concern towards the families affected and the shops destroyed due to the blasts, the court ordered the compensation. The business establishments that are completely destroyed, were granted Rs. 100000 as the compensation and its Rs. 50000 for the partial damages. The court even ordered the government to do the required help for the affected families. The date of sentence is yet to be out.

Unlike other judgments which were delayed years together, it is fortunate that, the officials are successful in chasing the facts and punishing the culprits sooner compared to other cases. If all the pending and even the future cases are handled well, collecting all the facts in quicker mode, then gaining back the confidence on the law is not so far.
