Lady offers roses for the overworked staff
After the demonetization was announced, due to the overflow of the public to the banks, the bank employees had to work overtime and also on Sundays. It was in the news that, several bank employees, even lost their lives, due to the over stress in the work.
Recognizing the employees’ effort, an old lady reached out to the employees in Lucknow SBI and offered them roses and also thanked them for the effort they are taking for the public. People standing in the queue can be seen appreciating the old lady for her gesture towards the bank employees.
Prashant Singh, an employee of the State Bank of India, Indira Nagar, Lucknow, posted the video on Facebook, which received good response and thousands of shares.
According to the reports, 11 bank employees across the country, lost their lives, unable to tackle the work stress. But the banks are supposed to run for longer hours, as the public in large numbers is approaching banks to exchange their old currency with that of the new ones.
A historical decision like demonetization is not every leader could take. One needs to have strong guts to go against several oppositions and still stand strong. Modi’s intention is to curb the black money with the demonetization. Standing behind the government, bank employees working more than what they are supposed to, surely deserves a loud appreciation. A small token of appreciation like the lady did, is what everyone of us are also bound to do, isn’t it?
