Top 4 to remain as senior 4!
Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu are the two names that are being heard big in Tollywood. Each of them surpass the records set by one among them with their every new film. But before these both, its Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh who are termed as the top 4 heroes.
After Shankar Dada Zindabad in 2007, Chiranjeevi concentrated on the politics, keeping movies aside, giving a tight beat to the top position in Tollywood. Adding to it, even Balakrishna had to face back to back debacles, which made him lose form and all the star directors stayed away from him, concentrating only on the young heroes.
Coming to Venkatesh and Nagarjuna, both the heroes never concentrated on the stardom and continued to do the films of their choice. Be it experimental or commercial, both the heroes are moving forward with not much impact on the collections or success.
It’s then, the need of a new set of the top heroes arose. Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu are constantly fighting for the top position and even other heroes like Prabhas, Jr NTR, Allu Arjun are in the race of it. But its after long, again all the 4 senior and the ex-star heroes are working on their respective projects, aiming for Sankranthi release.
Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150, Balakrishna’s Gauthamiputra Sathakarni, Nagarjuna’s Om Namo Venkateshaya, Venkatesh’s Guru are the films that are ready to hit the theaters with a not much gap. So it should be seen, whether these films would make any impact and get all the 4 senior heroes, back into the form.
