Indian star tennis player Sania Mirza won her women's doubles 2nd round match with Czech Barbora Strycova, Indo-Uruguayan pair of Rohan Bopanna and Pablo Cuevas lost their men's doubles 2nd round match today.

Sania and Barbora had an easy 6-1, 6-4 win over Australian-Chinese pairing of Samantha Stosur and Shuai Zhang as the fourth seeds progressed to the third round, following their victory in an 1.21 hours at second coat. The duo rolled their opponents over the first set by defeating them 3 out of 5 times and won 33 points in total, out of 54.

Samantha and Shuai, in the second set, fought better, but fell short of taking the match into the 3rd set. In 3rd court, Alex Bolt and Bradley Mousley ousted Bopanna and Cuevas 2-6, 7-6(2), 6-4 in an 1.55 hours.

By winning the first set, the 15th seed pair took off well, but the Australians fought back well to level the match by clinching the 2nd set tie-break. Bolt and Mousley, in the 3rd set, earned as many as 6 breakpoint chances, converting one while Bopanna and Cuevas failed to earn even a single breakpoint opportunity.
