When it’s done with their career in Telugu, several stars like Ileana, Tapsee, Radhika Apte, flew to Bollywood, criticizing Telugu cinema and audience.

Joining their list, Prakash Raj has now raised his voice against the Telugus. His recent directorial venture ‘Mana Oori Ramayanam’ was left as a disaster at the box office. Angered over this, the talented actor now said that, Tamil, Malayalam audience encourages the new concepts, but the Telugu people got habituated to the regular commercial films and are away from the experiments.

But it is to be noted that, it is the same Telugu audience who give him life watching him in commercial movies like Suswagatham, Anthahpuram, Chudalani vundi etc. While Tamil, Malayalam audience are habituated to watch the art films in big number, they would connect to those kind of films more and as a number of commercial movies are made in Telugu, movies like Mana Oori Ramayanam may not taste good.

However, there are several instances, where the small movies scored big, if they are handled well. Anand, Godavari, Ee Rojullo and even the recent Pelli Choopulu scored huge success, with the least concern of the cast and crew in the film. So if Mana Oori Ramayanam is flop, it’s the failure of Prakash Raj who failed in giving a quality product but not the audience or anyone else.

Earlier Prakash Raj was in the news several times for his aggressive reactions. His statements against Maheshbabu’s Aagadu movie and Srini Vaitla created stir in the Film Nagar circles. If he continues to go with the similar attitude, Telugu cinema do not mind to keep away the talented actor, who already lost his form in Telugu for several new entrants.
