Pull out  that thing in you which turns as your identity.” This is the hint, the audience are giving Telugu directors, through the result of the films.

In several interviews, Rajamouli said that he likes filming fantasy and so making the films in such genre. Films like Eega, Baahubali are doing magic at the box office.

Puri Jagannath on the other side, is against making fantasy, but is good at showing the naked truths with the reasonable mixing of entertainment. Puri has his identical mark of showing the heroes. Most of the male leads in his films would be ‘C’ centre friendly.

Unlike following the footsteps of other directors, Puri has his own mark of films and on the occasion of the star director’s birthday, here’s a quick sneak peek into his career.

Irrespective of the success rate, Puri continuously makes films. Among the top directors, he is the only one who delivers about 3 films in an year, which is good for the several workers dependent on the films. In the present generation, he is the only filmmaker in Tollywood, who announces the release date of his films, even before the shooting start and catches up the date as said. He has even mastered in completing a film shooting in less than 3 months.

Breaking the rules of typical commercial formula, Puri came out with a promising film like Badri as his debut. Not taking the film on a completely different track, he even maintains the commercial elements, but in his identical style. The male lead’s attitude, fights, screenplay everything was appreciated well in Badri. Starting from there, Puri went on to bring several good films like Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamil Ammay etc and he even has an industry like Pokiri in his hands.

Mahesh Babu as a ruthless arrogant youth in that film was liked by many. The film went on to run for over 100 days, even in the several rural areas and that is till date a record.

Apart from the direction, Puri is popularized for his naked truth dialogues in most of his films. Few of them, which went popular are:

- “Prapamchamlo Prathi Okkadu Swardha Parude, kani evvadu oppukodu”- Neninthe

- “Padimandini mosam cheste entho kontha baagupadthav, Ninnu nuvve mosam cheskunte s..nka  n..ki pothav”- Golimaar

- “Gandhi, Nehru mida cinimalu theeste evadu chudadu, kadapa king ani thiy..100 days 200 centers”- Pokiri

- “Yuddham chethakaanode dhharmam guurinchi matladaathadu”- Businessman

All these dialogues were hilariously applauded by the audience, which made them wait for his new films to pick such bitter truths. Hope the star director would continue making back to back films, adding the ingredient- bitter truths, in an entertaining way, here’s mytelangana.com wishing a very happy birthday to Puri Jagannath.
