Ganesh Chaturthi this time has completely took a new turn. While till date, the Ganesh idols are made in the form of movie stars, this year, they are even being made in the attire of the popular politicians.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's idol is made sit by Lord Ganesh's idol. This is one big discussion, the political circles are taking forward. While Baahubali, Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Janatha Garage idols across the Telugu states have seen Lord Ganesh in them, Naidu's idol beside Ganesh idol is creating huge controversy.
Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival that is celebrated nationwide. Devotees visit various Ganesh idols across the country and offer their prayers. But the idols depicted in the form of film stars, politicians or any other human form, is surely taking the devotional form on a different route.
Few criticize saying that, they are insulting god, making HIS idols in the human beings. If the same culture continues, the devotion may take a huge affect and it might just be limited to craze on their favorite stars.
“Showering the love on our favorite god, by willing to see HIM in our favorite personality's attire.” If this is the intention, the idol makers have to say, can we deny it?
