Gone are the days, where the people are concerned about the heroes, heroines, comedy or any other particular element in the movies. If the film is worth, audience is walking to the theaters and if it is any regular commercial movie with calculated fights, songs, it is immediately facing a jolt.

Even most of the big films in this year like Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Brahmotsavam had to face tough times, and shockingly movies like Pelli Choopulu, Manamantha are doing great at the ticket windows.

Especially, Pelli Choopulu, which has been made with a budget of Rs. 1 crore is now making over Rs. 10 crores, which is 10 times profit to the producers. Adding to it, even the satellite rights of the film have been sold after the release, with which it made the producer’s wallet, fatter.

Previously, the top producers used to stay away from producing small films, unwilling to take the risks. But films like Pelli Choopulu is boosting the distributors and producers, who are now eyeing on such films and is thus in search of the right directors, who can project such films perfectly.

While the investment on the big star films is around Rs. 40 crores, the producers are hardly getting about Rs. 10 to Rs. 20 crores if the film gets a huge success. But, if a small film is handled perfectly, the same profit is not impossible. So, the coming future is completely for the small films, which means the meaningful films from now are going to be made in large number in Tollywood.
