Chiru 150 and NBK 100 are the two huge projects, Tollywood is eager if. Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna, the star heroes, who used to compete with each other once, are reaching an important milestone with these two films (Chiru 150, NBK 100).

Except a special appearance in Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee, after Shankar Dada Zindabad, Chiru 150 project is the full fledged comeback movie of the mega star. That is the one big reason for the craziness on the number 150.

When the project has so much hype, generally, the audience would expect to see their idol in a new role. But unwilling to take the risks, Chiru opted to remake a Tamil super hit film Katthi. After the alleged debacle in the politics, who would be willing to see Chiranjeevi in a role that has social responsibility is a big question. Several biggies in the industry already opined that Katthi remake will not go well with the mega fans. So more than positivity, Chiru 150 has more threats, the analysts opine.

On the other side, Balakrishna in his initial stages has done several experiments like Aditya 369, Bhairava Dweepam and succeeded well. But after the decades rolled from such experiments, Balakrishna has now established a separate stardom and is identified to do commercial mass masala films. Simha, Legend are his recent blockbusters, which brought back the lost image of the star. When such a star is doing his 100th film, the expectations would obviously be at the peak. In this situation, opting an experimental film like Gauthamiputra Sathakarni can be considered as risk.

Adding to it, director Krish till date is identified for his award films like Gamyam, Vedam, Kanche. All his films gained critics appreciations, but could not do well commercially. But Balakrishna being a commercial hero, is supposed to prove himself commercially with this historical subject. So, how this huge project would be handled by Krish and divert it to commercial route, is a question.

So both the senior stars Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna’s landmark films seem to be in threat. Unless the making of both the films are extraordinary, it would be tough to convince the audience.
