Can Kabali beat Baahubali?

No doubt Kabali is a huge movie and can show storm to the collections at the box office. But the one question rising now is, will it cross Baahubali records? While few say, it can, few others opine that, Baahubali records would be safe. Let us make a detailed analysis on it.

There are no big stars in Baahubali, but the movie is still the costliest one among the south cinemas. The costly sets, with the ancient touch and cooked up story is what Baahubali is. The way it is narrated and screened was immensely liked by the audience worldwide. Surprisingly, Baahubali, though originally being a Telugu film, the dubbing version of it had managed to cross Rs. 100 crores in Bollywood, which is first ever time for any south film.

In that sense, not just in Hindi, Baahubali made big, even in the foreign countries, where the film was dubbed into their respective foreign languages. That is definitely considered as a very proud moment of an Indian cinema. That made the Rajamouli’s directorial witness over Rs. 600 crores, overtaking even the Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan’s movies records and standing just next to Aamir Khan’s PK.

Now, after Kabali has scheduled for release, it was in the news that, the Rajinikanth’s starrer is the perfect film to aim Baahubali records. Rajini no doubt has an immense craze worldwide. Whoever picks a ticket for the film, would only do it for the super star. So to watch Kabali, Rajinikanth is the only reason, but for Baahubali, the costly sets, engaging screenplay and the hugeness of the film has played a major role. These will attract all sections of the public, whereas Rajinikanth may not attract the class sections and non-Rajini fans. So, it would be tough for Kabali to cross Baahubali records.

But who knows what tsunami, Rajini can create with an out and out action packed entertainer, smelling Baasha. If at all that happens, it is not impossible to aim Baahubali records and be on the top, crossing Aamir Khan’s PK too.
