Bathukamma to jolt TS govt big time!
Even before the formation of the Telangana state, TRS party was continuously trying to inject Telangana feeling into the people. The Telangana movement took new heights, after people like KCR were successful in injecting Telangana feeling deeply into the public.
After the formation of Telangana state and TRS government, there was no stop to the state government and is continuously trying to spread Telangana culture and traditions. As a part of it, the state government took it as a prestige to celebrate Bathukamma grandly, treating it as a state festival. Not just limiting it to Telangana state, the government aimed at spreading the celebrations throughout the world.
Today is the last day of Bathukamma celebrations and MP Kavitha is currently in London and celebrating the state festival with the local people over there.
Meanwhile, severely criticizing the government's expenditure- Rs. 15 crores on Bathukamma celebrations, opposition parties are conducting the protests. Even the normal public cannot deny those protests as the key scheme Aarogyasri has been stopped in the private hospitals, complaining the lack of funds. Even double bedroom house project is not moving forward. Adding to it, the recent rains revealed the battered roads in Hyderabad.
Ignoring several problems like this and concentrating on the state festivals and other celebrations, may not go well with the public anymore. This is where, JAC Chief Kodandaram is finding the loophole and is planning to move against the government using social media.
So before the things go out of hand, it would be better if the government concentrates on the development activities rather than on celebrations.
