Trump good gestures towards India

US President Donald Trump, who spoke to Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited the latter, to the US. Four days after he was sworn as the President of US, Trump spoke to Modi last night over the phone. According to the White House, the two leaders spoke about the terrorism, trade and defence.  

"During a call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India, President Trump emphasized that the US considers India a true friend and partner in addressing challenges around the world," the White House said in a readout of the call. "President Trump looked forward to hosting Prime Minister Modi in the US later this year," the White House said.

The duo spoke about the possibilities to strengthen the partnership between both the countries in economy and defence areas. They also discussed about security in the region of South and Central Asia. Trump and Modi resolved that the US and India stand shoulder to shoulder in the global fight against terrorism, the readout said.
