Days after the first look of Ajay Devgan's Shivaay was out, the controversy has now surrounded the makers, for allegedly hurting the Hindu sentiments.  

The complainant, who registered his complaint in Tilak Nagar police station in Delhi, said that, Ajay is climbing Lord Shiva’s figure with shoes on, which hurts the sentiments of the Hindus. The makers are yet to respond on the issue.

Suiting the title of the film, all the posters released till date are hinting at Hindu god Shiva. In the latest poster, Ajay Devgan was found holding 'trishul',  made of ice. Sharing this new poster on his social networking site, Kajol's better half wrote, “This Diwali, Shivaay will Transform, Protect & Destroy.”

Directed by Ajay Devgan himself, Dilip Kumar’s grandniece Sayesha Saigal is making her debut with Shivaay, which is scheduled for a grand release on October 28th, 2016.
