Channa Mereya song was an instant hit from Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Not just audio, but even the video went well, where Anushka Sharma was seen in Lehenga.

Now revealing about the effort she took for the song, Anushka said, “I was wearing such heavy clothes that everyone felt sorry for me. 17 kilos was the lehenga and then there was the jewellery. 

Everything put together, I was carrying 20 kilos at all time. All I could do was walk on my toes and my calves were getting like worked-out. It was very difficult. I had to climb these stairs again and again and it was so hot.”

While the fans had a joyful ride watching her in bride avatar, the 28 year old actress said, “I was looking like a beautiful bride but I wasn't feeling like one.”

Composed by Pritam, the Aashiqui 2 fame Arijith Singh crooned for Channe Mereya and Amitabh Bhattacharya wrote the lyrics. Karaj Johar directed Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, that has Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Aishwarya Rai and Fawad Khan in the lead and even Shah Rukh Khan and Lisa Haydon in the cameo roles. The film is scheduled for a grand release on Diwali, competing with Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay.
