Udta Punjab leaked online
Udta Punjab, which has crossed the censor barriers recently and has got ready for release this week, its makers had to wake up for the shocking news.
The unedited version of the movie print was leaked online and it was already downloaded by several members, before the makers put efforts to delete it. As the leaked footage has the scenes, which the Censor officials objected to, the makers found out that it was copy they submitted to censor.
As Udta Punjab in the beginning got 89 cuts from Censor, the makers fought in the court and won the case with a single cut. This might have degraded the Censor, and might have intentionally leaked the movie online, the analysts say.
