A 12th class student in Ahmedabad named Harshad Sarvaiya had examined his own answersheets in Geography and Economics and gave himself 100/100 in the latter subject.
After the issue came into the light, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has summoned Sarvaiya, who is expected to face strict punishment if proven guilty.
Sarvaiya intelligently avoided mentioning marks on top front page, to avoid being caught. None of the seven examiners could identify this and awarded him full marks. Considering this as negligence, the board has even summoned the teachers.
Sarvaiya’s score in the other subjects are as follows: Geography (34), Gujarati (13), English (12), Sanskrit (4), Sociology (20), Psychology (5).
