Kashmir unrest: minor dies, condition worsens
After security forces fired pellet guns at protestors, a 12-year-old boy was killed in Srinagar.
Junaid Ahmad, a resident of Saidpora in Srinagar was hit by pellets outside his residence. He was rushed to Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences and he succumbed to his injuries. This incident further worsened the condition in the city. Tear gas shells at the protestors who were shouting slogans as his body was taken to be buried. Thus leading to more clashes.
The protests began since Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani was killed in July. Since then, over 90 people have died and 10,000 injured in clashes between security forces and protesters. The shutdown called by separatists entered its 92nd day today.
