Denying the special status demand to Andhra Pradesh, the Centre has finally decided to announce the special package to the state.

Regarding this, Union ministers Venkaiah Naidu and Arun Jaitley will make a statement today, announcing the special package details. The package is said to attract the AP officials big time.

- As per the sources, about 90% of the cost to complete Polavaram project will be beared by the Centre.

- For constructing the new capital, the Centre has decided to support AP officials financially.

- Railway zone to Vijayawada.

- Even without special status, the Centre has reportedly decided to provide 90% of the benefits, AP is supposed to get from special status.  

This may convince the AP officials, but the impact of special status among the normal public is bigger and so, the state government and other MPs of the state, would face the consequences, the analysts opine.
