Rahul Gandhi Khaat Sabha: Locals run away with cots
Rahul Gandhi, as part of his 2500 km Kisan Yatra from Deoria to Delhi, has conducted a public meeting called ‘Khaat Sabha’, inviting the farmers to sit on the Khaats (Wooden Cots) at the meeting.
Gandhi, addressing a crowd at Rudrapur in Deoria district, said the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is waiving off loans taken by Rich, but not the poor farmers.
"Modiji must waive off loans taken by farmers in Uttar Pradesh and elsewhere in the country. We have embarked on this Yatra to know the problems of the farmers and to help Modiji understand the situation too," Gandhi said.
After Rahul completed his speech and left the place, the locals took away the Khaats they found and for this, the locals were even involved in a small fight. Rahul Gandhi’s Yatra will cover 39 districts as well as 55 of the 80 Lok Sabha constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.
