Men staring at women over 14 seconds can be booked –Kerala police
Rishiraj Singh, the Excise Commissioner, while addressing a gathering of students at a public event in Kochi, has said that, a case can be filed against a man who continually stares at a woman for more than 14 seconds.
Adding further, the commissioner said that women should be proactive in reporting anti-social elements to police and also learn martial arts to defend themselves.
But this statement did not go well the people around. Putting a step ahead, Kerala sports minister EP Jayarajan said that, he would bring the issue to the notice of Excise Minister, opining that he was trying to quote a law that is not in place.
