Andhra Pradesh main opposition party YSRCP has called for a bundh today in Andhra Pradesh, demanding special category status to the state.
Congress and rest other parties have extended their support to the day long shut down, in which educational institutions, and commercial business activities are not exception. However, when the opposition workers tried to obstruct state run transport corporation buses, police took them into custody in several places. But to avoid unfortunate circumstances, the State Road Transport Corporation suspended its services for the day.
Meanwhile, TDP MLA Dhulipalla Narendra from Ponnuru, Guntur sat on a day long ‘Deeksha’ at Acharya NG Ranga statue in the town demanding BJP, the special status. “It is the responsibility of the Centre to support the state by all means as it suffered heavily because of the irrational bifurcation,” Narendra said.
