Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently busy in promoting his upcoming flick Raees, had to witness a tragic incident. During SRK’s train journey from Mumbai to Delhi, he waved at the massive crowd that turned up at the Vadodara station. It was then, a man died during a stampede.

Farid Khan Sherani, an ardent follower of SRK, who ran a dormitory near the railway station, came with his family to the platform to see his idol. When the train left the station, a massive stampede broke out at the platform as everyone rushed towards the exit gates. Several people, including Sherani, fainted on the spot. 

He was even taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared him to be dead on arrival. Khan, who came to know about the incident, expressed his condolences over the tragedy. “What happened at Vadodara platform is unfortunate. My prayers are with the family of the deceased,” SRK said.
