People's star Narayanamurthy went severely against the big films occupying the theaters on every major festival.
Referring to Khaidi No 150 and Gautamiputra Satakarni occupying all the theaters on Sankranthi, Narayanamurthy appealed the chamber, producers' council and even government to step into the issue as it's their responsibility to ensure theatres to release a film. He also lashed out at the ongoing lease system of theaters, alleging that its turning death-knell to the small films.
"Small films are not just to feed the theaters in dull season. Even, let those films have theatres and let people decide their fate. Without even releasing, how one would tell whether it's competition or not?", Narayanamurthy said.
The people's star asked at least one theatre in each town for his every film, as his popularity is nowhere in the match with Chiranjeevi or Balakrishna.
