Hero turned director stages protest
Aditya Om, who secured a blockbuster like Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo as one of the male leads of the film, could not make it big in Tollywood, for several unknown reasons.
But the actor has now turned director and made a film called ‘Friend Request’. The movie has been released this week, but could not get the required theaters. This has angered him and now staged the protest opposite Film Chamber, Hyderabad.
Aditya says, “Friend Request is my dream project and I have spent 2.5 years of time and Rs. 4.5 crores on it and finally released it. The film is supposed to release in 150 theaters in both the Telugu states, but ended up hitting only 30 theaters. If this is the case, how can I get my investment back? That is why I am staging the protest and will now compromise, until the issue is resolved.”
