District NRI Foundation (DNF) is established with an intention of bringing the socioeconomic changes in under resourced communities by providing the basic necessities, rural empowerment, heath care centres along with the education.
Now recognizing the problem Nalgonda district is facing due to the cancer issue, (one in every three persons is being diagnosed with some type of cancer), a group of people are coming forward through DNF, conducting the free camps with the intention of providing awareness to the public on cancer. The first camp regarding this will be conducted in Miryalaguda.
As a part of this programme, the DNF team provides awareness on cervical, breast, oral, pharynx and gall bladder, in which the country has highest incidences and are also the most common ones.
The programme witnesses screening camp which includes free oral examination, cervical pap smear, ultrasonography, breast examination, mammography and tumor marker assessment, paramedic update program, daycare chemotherapy, awareness videos and pamphlets, paramedic updates program, inauguration of hospital based cancer registry and several other services.
