Telangana stands top in states consuming non-veg
According to the Registrar General of India survey, Telangana state is identified for having the maximum non-vegetarians (99%) across the country. The survey says, an almost equal percentage of men (98.8) and women (98.6) are non-vegetarians in the state.
West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Kerala occupy the further places. The people aged 15 or above have participated in this survey. On the other hand, Rajasthan, Punjab, and Haryana take the top places in the list of the states, consuming vegetarian food.
The overall percentage of the non-vegetarians has come down from 75 % in 2004 to 71% in 2014.
