Indian Council of Food and Agriculture (ICFA) Executive Director, NS Randhawa refutes the allegations made by Congress leader Dasoju Sravan for nominating Telangana CM KCR for Agriculture Leadership Award-2017 by ICFA recently.

Dasoju Sravan alleges that a private seeds Production Company which is going to benefit with CM KCR’s proposal to make the state into a seed bowl (seed production center in the country) has influenced ICFA to nominate him for this prestigious award.

Refuting the allegations, ICFA director NS Randhawa said “It is a baseless allegation. We condemn it. The apex body of the council has conferred this award to Telangana Chief Minister KCR, only after careful scrutinizing all nominations. The apex council believed that his government did a commendable job for the development of agriculture and rural sectors in the state and hence he deserves this award. No one has influenced the apex council for this purpose. We wrote letters to D Sravan and also to Congress party high command about this matter.”
