KCR’s home district against government’s land acqusition
Against the Telangana government’s proposal of acquiring the vast tracts of agricultural land for irrigation and industrial projects, CM KCR’s home district Medak farmers are protesting against the government.
The TRS government is planning to acquire another 15,000 acres for Kondapochamma reservoir to be built near the KCR's assembly constituency Gajwel. Adding to this, Medak district is set to lose over 25,000 acres for the National Investment and Manufacturing Zone (NIMZ) that may take away 31 villages in Zaheerabad, the reports say.
