Telangana Congress leaders are first to react on the Agricultural leadership award-2017 to be given to CM KCR by Indian Council of Food and Agriculture (ICFA). Congress official spokesperson Dasoju Sravan and senior leader of the party Jeevan Reddy both flayed the TRS government for it. 

Sravan said that it is an award given by a private organization, however, TRS leaders are boasting as if it is given by some central government organization. Even, Governor Narasimhan also greeted CM KCR without knowing this fact, said Sravan. He said some seed companies that may benefit with CM KCR’s proposals to make the State seed bowl, may have played behind the screen in favor of him.   

Jeevan Reddy said that he doesn’t understand how the ICFA picks CM KCR for this award despite adverse agricultural situation is prevailing in the State. He said the farmers’ situation turned miserable as the banks are refusing to give fresh loans to them, because the State Government fails to release the crop loans waiver funds until now. Farmers are not getting fair prices for their products. As a result farmers are committing suicides in the State. In wake of these conditions, Jeevan Reddy opined that CM KCR doesn’t deserve any such awards.

The government plans to pay Rs.8, 000 per acre for two crops to each farmer in the State from next year. It would be certainly a great help to the farmers.

Need not to say that these plans and projects being implemented by the government is going to boost the agricultural sector in the state. If so, the entire credit will go to none other than CM KCR and obviously it helps TRS party to retain power after 2019 general elections.

This may be the root cause of the Congress leaders’ apprehensions and thus criticizing CM KCR for not his fault. Let the people decide whether TRS Government lead by CM KCR is really trying to change the situation of the state or trying to bluff them
